Just wanted to mention that we have 3 deaf guys in our club and they are great people! Plus they really clean up in the jewelry department and have won several of our finds of the month! Way to go guys!

I have single sided deafness (SSD)- hearing in one ear only. Detectorists with SSD have to use headphones which are MONO and not STEREO or miss half the sounds/targets. Oops! This is a problem because a number of the popular headphones, eg. Killer B, are stereo ONLY. After a lot of research I found Koss QZ99 Noise Reduction stereophones which have a MONO switch on the cord, and I have found that they work quite well.

Now that's a helpful tidbit. I think I'm going deaf in both ears... I need lots of volume!
